REGFULATION OF THE COURSE: There shall be State Teacher Education and Monitoring Board (STEM Board) at the State level constituted by the Karnataka State Higher Education Council which shall undertake the implementation of B.Ed programme at state level the Board shall be responsible to monitoring, regulate and issuing appropriate direction to the Universities, College and any other appropriate bodies. The DSERT shall act as the nodal agency for the said purpose. There shall be Teacher Education and Regulatory Monitoring cell (TERM CELL) at each University level which shall take similar functioning as the STEM at University level.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed., programme should be as prescribed by NCTE and UGC and State Government as listed below.

i. Candidates with at least 50% marks either in Bachelors Degree or the master Degree in Science/Social Science/ Humanity or Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission the programme.

Subjects Available: Language/Social Science/Science/ Mathematics/ Commerce /Physics/ Chemistry/Biology
Medium of instruction:Kannada/ English
Intake : 100 ( Each 50 of 2 units)
